Rosie Swale-Pope, 73, has been running for miles to raise donations of money to children and cancer patients. Despite his age, Swale-Pope, who continued to walk and run for the good of the people, arrived in Turkey in 1 year on foot.  Rosie Swale-Pope's goal is to arrive in Nepal in 2021.

Rosie Swale-Pope, 73, who was born in Davos, Switzerland and is originally from Wales, is known for her identity as an adventurer, marathon runner and activist, as well as writing. Swale-Pope's second husband, Clive, died of prostate cancer in 2002. After her husband's death, Roise Swale-Pope decided to run around the world for five years to raise money for a prostate cancer charity and for an orphanage that provides education and care for children in Kitezh, Russia. After its 5-year run, travelling 20,000 miles in total, Swale-Pope collected £ 250,000. Roise Swale-Pope, who has also enjoyed many successes, has also accomplished such feats as sailing across the Atlantic in a small boat with one hand and walking only 4,000 km on horseback in Chile.

Writer, traveller and marathon runner Swale-Pope, who set out from the UK in 2018 to help children in Nepal, reached Turkey in 1 year on foot. Swale-Pope, who says he went to Nepal and started the journey to help poor children here, is running from Brighton to Kathmandu with the aim of raising awareness and funds for his work in Nepal. He said he planned to travel a total of 6,900 kilometers to Nepal on foot, and that Roise Swale-Pope had taken the need to rest and sleep along the way in a small caravan. Swale-Pope, who is currently in Turkey's Bartin province and travels about 20 kilometres a day, said his goal was to arrive in Nepal in 2021.

“Nothing will stop me’

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk showed the world that nothing's impossible roses expressing Swale-Pope, “73 years old I generally the road is not in the most remote areas of Nepal where the genius of the community, the families, their kids, in spite of all the odds to help a small charity which is 'I'm running all the way from England to support phase wide world to Kathmandu. And nothing's going to stop me not. In 2018, Janothon told him, ‘Why don't you run to Nepal, Kathmandu, to help us?'he said he made the decision,' said Swale-Pope, adding that it was the most extraordinary trip of his life but it was worth it all. Roise Swale-Pope, who said she had solved the problem of rest and sleep with a small caravan-style bagi known as Ferrari in Turkey, said her car protected her, provided a place to stay and provided her with the ability to cook simple meals.

“I never see myself alone"

Explaining that he had the opportunity to practically talk to everyone, Swale-Pope said: “so I never see myself alone.“he said, " of course it was normal times before the virus. It was a way to get together with people. And I'm very privileged. Was perfect. I love Turkey. It's a beautiful country with the most friendly people. As in many parts of the world, I am very sad that the Turkish people are experiencing difficulties because of the corona virus.’’ Roise Swale-Pope, who said she was in Turkey months before the outbreak of the corona virus began, said it was safer for her and others to remain isolated in case they could catch the virus after it started. “I was very happy that I was able to continue this process because they told me that I was strong and fit, and also that I was very careful in traffic because I had learned about traffic in this long life, " said Swale-Pope, who noted that he had checked his two-wheeled car and had not seen anyone but the police and gendarmes. Then I was very happy to arrive in the perfect city of Safranbolu. And then I went to stay at the best hotel in town because I'd been staying in camps for a long time. With its new white sheets and beautiful showers, of course, I was dreaming of staying in Safranbolu for a few days. And then came the stay-at-home and curfew restrictions for people over 65. Everyone tried to help me. The district's chief of Police, Chief of police, and also chief of staff. They've been very supportive of me.I thank them all so much’
